How It Works
Flexible staged modelA structured system students can enter, use, and continue only when it makes sense.
Gradual is not a compulsory linear programme. It is a flexible, evidence-based graduate readiness model built around three autonomous but interconnected offerings: Gradual Core, Gradual Pathways, and the optional Gradual Intensive Experience.
The operating model
Build the foundation. Choose a direction. Apply learning. Verify readiness.
Gradual Core
An affordable, fully online, self-paced digital foundation that develops six essential graduate competencies: Professional Communication & Collaboration, Digital Intelligence & AI Literacy, Critical Thinking & Decision Making, Innovation, Creativity & Problem Solving, Sustainability & Responsible Leadership, and Professional Mindset.
Fully online and self-paced
Choose one specialised pathway
Students who want deeper preparation choose one direction: Professional Career, Entrepreneurial Career, or Research Career. They are not required to complete more than one pathway.
Professional / Entrepreneurial / Research
Pathway modules and Skill-Wall competency challenges
Pathways combine online courses, structured modules, authentic Skill-Wall challenges, assessment records, progression tracking, and stored evidence of student work.
Apply learning and demonstrate competency
Structured field exposure and final applied project
Most pathway learning remains online to reduce unnecessary transportation, scheduling, and logistics costs. Structured field exposure and in-person final applied project activities preserve practical credibility, real interaction, and applied quality.
Primarily online with selected in-person components
Gradual-issued transcript or certificate
Upon successful pathway completion, students receive Gradual-issued recognition connected to pathway learning, Skill-Wall competency assessment, structured field exposure, assessment results, and final applied project work.
Pathway level, not Core level
Gradual Intensive Experience
Students who want further development after completing a pathway may join the optional, entirely in-person Intensive Experience, which may include advanced workshops, expert mentoring, professional networking, deeper practical exposure, team projects, and final presentations.
No. It is not required to receive the pathway transcript or certificate.
Delivery logic
Digital where access matters. In person where practical quality requires it.
Fully online and self-paced
Accessible, affordable competency development students can complete on their own schedule.
Primarily online with selected in-person components
Reduces unnecessary transportation and logistics costs while preserving applied quality and evidence.
Physical participation required
Practical exposure depends on real contexts, structured interaction, observation, and applied engagement.
In-person activities required
The final project must demonstrate practical application, collaboration, judgement, and visible work.
Entirely in person
Designed as a premium, high-touch experience centred on mentoring, networking, teamwork, and deeper applied development.
Gradual is more than content delivery. Its value lies in competency development, practical application, assessment, and verified evidence of graduate readiness.
Students do not only consume content. They apply learning through authentic Skill-Wall competency challenges.
Students prepare according to one clear direction: Professional Career, Entrepreneurial Career, or Research Career.
The offerings are connected, but students are not required to purchase or complete the full journey.
Gradual-issued evidence is connected to pathway completion, assessment, field exposure, and applied project work.
Gradual competes on verified graduate readiness rather than the quantity of learning materials offered.
The platform is designed to use AI-assisted analytics for pathway guidance, skill-gap identification, and formative feedback alongside expert mentoring.
